ACTA killed dead - And the Declaration of Internet Freedom
My holiday was made today with the European Parliament burying ACTA (hopefully forever). 478 voted against it. 39 voted for it. And 165 didn't vote. That was an even more massive defeat than what I'd expected.

Now most attention should turn the TPP. They're saying now they're going to have "exceptions" to copyright laws in the TPP - but it still sounds very restrictive (even to fair use).

On a better note - sites are putting together the Declaration of Internet Freedom. I'll leave these links here....

Maybe my next entry will be about something else for a change :)

It's pretty awesome there are people out there fighting against the attack on the internet for the content industry. :)
